One Week=One Hundred Pages

Blue Whale

Blue Whale

I have been back for one week…  and as this posts title insinuates, I am only one hundred pages in to this book.  That leaves me with about half left to go and and some time of compiling before I post my “findings” but I am already excited.  I love this book, Observations for Young Architects.  Although I have heard some of what he discusses before, it is interesting how Cesar Pelli adds his own personal experiences to the piece purely emphasizing the ideas he is trying to discuss.  There was a mentioning of his “Blue Whale” in Los Angeles.  I remembered (well I think I remember) either the head of our school or one of our guest speakers mentioning how their first architecture project resembled the Blue Whale but I must have forgotten who designed it.  It was nice to grab that bit of history to go along with it.  As for the book it is becoming quite interesting.  Hope to finish it this week with my observations!!  Fingers Crossed!!!
